Foundations of pain medicine: OVERVIEW

This guide contains resources intended to support and assist in preparing for the Foundations of Pain Medicine Examination. During the two year pain medicine training program trainees need to rapidly build knowledge and skills specific to pain medicine. An understanding of fundamental knowledge and skills relevant to pain medicine practice is essential and assumed when entering the training program. Section one of the FPM 2015 Curriculum, the Foundations of Pain Medicine defines the knowledge and skills that are considered prerequisite to commencing the training program. Prerequisite knowledge is tested in the Foundations of Pain Medicine examination. The resources on this guide may be of assistance in preparing for the Foundations of Pain Medicine Examination.
