CPD for clinical support roles: Overview

The purpose of this library guide is to assist fellows to match CPD activities with the nature of the work roles that they undertake.

The target audience is those with clinical support roles alongside their work with patients and those who practice without direct patient care.

How to use this guide

  1. Identify your work roles
  2. Under each work role you will find:
    • key areas to consider in planning your CPD
    • suggestions for how you can undertake CPD for that work role in -
      • Category 1: practice evaluation (reviewing performance and measuring outcomes), and
      • Category 2: knowledge & skills
    • resources to support CPD activity for that work role [right-hand column].

The college has put together case studies, guidance and support resources specific to your type of practice to help you meet requirements.

ANZCA CPD portfolio

Participants record, monitor and provide evidence of their completed CPD activities through the online CPD portfolio. Simply log in in with your college ID and password.
