Perioperative medicine training resources: U3M8: Interventions for smoking, alcohol and non prescription drugs use

There are six (6) units of study, which define the POM specialty knowledge and skills. Each unit has been subdivided into a series of key themes and modules comprised of recommended guidelines, readings, texts and videos.

Discusses the improved surgical outcomes associated with the cessation of smoking, alcohol and non prescription drugs; and how to effectively communicate intervention options with patients.
